Terms and conditions

These terms apply to work carried out by BW Roofing Solutions (Bailey, Owner), established 2019, operating across West Sussex and Brighton. Contact: 07766 878193 or bwroofing1@icloud.com.

The information on this website is provided in good faith as general guidance about roofing work. It is not a survey, a specification or advice on your particular property. Only a written quote issued to you is binding.

• Quote visits are free and carry no obligation.
• Surveys, including pre-purchase roof inspections, are a separate paid service.
• All work is priced as a fixed price. We do not work on day rates.
• A quote covers the scope described in it. Additional work found once a covering is stripped, or requested afterwards, is priced and agreed separately before it is carried out.
• An emergency or out-of-hours call-out after 5pm is subject to a call-out fee.

• A deposit is payable up front, with the balance due on completion.
• We accept bank transfer or cash. We do not currently accept card payments.
• Ownership of materials supplied passes to you once payment has been received in full.

Our workmanship is guaranteed for 25 years. The guarantee excludes:

• Storm damage
• Damage caused by third-party works
• Material failure, which falls under the relevant manufacturer's own guarantee rather than our workmanship guarantee

We do not currently offer a manufacturer-backed guarantee on flat roofing systems. The guarantee applies to the customer the work was carried out for and requires the balance to have been paid in full.

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and to the roof area concerned, including for scaffolding where it is required. Work may be delayed by weather where it would be unsafe or would compromise the finished job; we will keep you informed and rebook at the earliest opportunity.

We hold £2 million public liability insurancetorch-on felt systems. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for pre-existing defects we were not instructed to repair, or for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

Where you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our business premises, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. If you ask us to begin work within that period, you may be charged for work already carried out.
